Overview
The verification team helps ensure markets resolve correctly.
What does the verification team do?
The team reviews proposals, checks evidence, and confirms whether outcomes match the rules. Members often share findings, confirm timestamps, and verify sources together in real time.
Example: A typical verification involves deciding if the proposal is correct, referencing the Polymarket odds, and providing supporting evidence.

How does the team operate?
Members coordinate through shared chats and discussion threads. Any verifier can review any market, though some focus on certain categories. When issues arise, they flag proposals and work together on next steps.
Example: In a sports market where the resolution source went offline, verifiers discussed how to handle the situation.

How is the team different than regular users?
Verification team members have a Verifier role in the UMA Discord, allowing them to post in verification threads. These threads are public to view, but only team members can participate or verify.
Verification threads can be found under the (OO) Verification category.

Where can I learn more?
You can learn more about verification and the team in UMA's Discord server. There, you can observe, ask questions, and watch live verifications.
