### Select Sources Some markets resolve according to a **set of acceptable sources**. Verification can come from any of them. *Examples*: Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau, their official representative(s), public statements, social media posts.

### Consensus of Credible Reporting Markets without a clear source, or where **flexibility is needed**, may resolve based on a **consensus of credible reporting**. *Examples*: political markets, appearance markets, geopolitics, culture markets.

### Multiple Sources Some markets require **multiple specific sources** for resolution. This is similar to a **consensus of credible reporting**, but the required sources are explicitly listed. *Example*: The Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC.

### Backup Sources Markets may also list a **backup source** to use when the primary source is unavailable or insufficient. *Example*: many markets use a consensus of credible reporting as a backup source.
