# Voting

After a proposal is disputed, it undergoes a vote in the next voting cycle.

### What is voting?

Voting is how UMA stakers determine the outcome of disputed proposals.

Voting power is based on the amount of UMA staked when you commit your vote. Voters who vote incorrectly or fail to participate may have a portion of their staked UMA slashed.

### Where can I vote?

You can find active and upcoming votes in the [UMA voting interface](https://vote.uma.xyz/).
