# Guidelines

When participating in a discussion, keep these guidelines in mind:

### Follow the rules

Make sure you follow the server rules and any additional rules for the dispute thread.

### Directly address the resolution criteria

Explain why the available evidence does or does not satisfy the resolution criteria. Provide sources and make your evidence easy for others to verify.

### Consider similar resolved markets

When relevant, point to similar markets or situations and explain how they were interpreted.

### Address counterarguments

Consider the strongest opposing arguments and explain why they do or do not change the resolution.

### Be clear and concise

Get to the main point and avoid repeating arguments that have already been made. Long quotations or unnecessary detail can make the core argument harder to verify.
