Parlays

Polymarket offers parlay markets.

What are parlays?

Parlays are markets that have multiple conditions. While most markets resolve based on a single condition, parlay markets require several conditions to be met.

Each parlay is made up of individual markets. You can trade the parlay or the individual markets. A parlay stays open until all conditions are met, any condition is met (depending on the parlay type), or the market deadline passes.

Example: In Nothing Ever Happens: Conspiracy Edition, the parlay stays open until either:

  • Any of the conditions are met (the market resolves to No)

  • None of the conditions are met by December 31, 2025 (the market resolves to Yes)

Nothing Ever Happens

Nothing Ever Happens parlay markets resolve to Yes only if all of the linked events resolve to No. If any event occurs, the market resolves to No.

The idea behind Nothing Ever Happens markets is that people often overestimate how many events will actually happen. As a result, Yes shares in these markets tend to trade at higher prices.

Everything Happens

Everything Happens parlay markets resolve to Yes only if all of the conditions are met. If even one condition fails, the market resolves to No.

The idea behind these markets is an optimistic belief that multiple events will all occur. Because that's less likely, Yes shares in Everything Happens parlays tend to trade at lower prices.

Mixed Parlays

Some parlay markets combine a series of events (for example, multiple elections or outcomes across different topics). Others mix unrelated events, such as political and cultural markets. How they resolve depends on the rules of each linked market.

Parlay Rules

Parlay rules are the same as the rules of their underlying markets. Each linked market determines whether its specific condition is met or not.
